Do I have to match the Cash5 winning numbers in exact order to win the game? +
As long as the numbers drawn are listed on your ticket in a single row, it actually does not matter in what order they are drawn. However, the KICKER number must be Active, in order to be used as a match.
When are the drawings for Lotto! held? +
Lotto! drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 10:38 p.m. You can watch Lotto! drawings and latest results on the official website of the CT Lottery. Or you can contact your nearest CT lottery retailers, local newspapers, and selected TV channels to know about the winning numbers and prizes.
Are Lotto! tickets liable for cancellation? +
Lotto! Tickets are not liable to be canceled. Once the ticket is printed, there’s no way you can cancel it. Make sure to check your ticket after purchasing, to ensure the accuracy of the details requested.
What is the cut off time for the sale of Lotto! tickets? +
The sale of Lotto! tickets close by 10:20 p.m. and reopen at 10:46 p.m. every day.
Are the winning numbers to be matched in exact order to be a winner? +
As long as the numbers drawn are listed on your ticket in a single row, it actually does not matter in what order they are drawn.
What happens to the prize money after the death of a winner? +
After the death of the winner, the lottery pays the remaining amount to the winner’s estate or beneficiary as directed by the court or other governing documents.
Can Lotto! tickets be purchased for more than one drawing at a particular time? +
You can purchase up to 26 Lotto! drawings in advance at a particular time. You just have to select the Advance Action box on the play slip or ask the Lottery Retailer for Advance Action at the time of purchase. You have to pay for 25 and get 26 drawings with this feature.
When are Play4 drawings held? +
The Connecticut Play4 drawings are held every day at approximately 1:57 p.m. for the Day drawings and 10:29 p.m for the Night drawing. The Day drawings are not televised on Saturday or Sunday. You can catch the latest drawings on the official website or check your local newspapers and selected TV channels.
What is the cut-off time for the sale of Play4 tickets? +
The sale of the Play4 Day ticket closes at 1:45 p.m. and reopens at 2:01 p.m. The sale of Play4 Night tickets closes at 10:15 p.m. and reopens at 10:46 p.m.
Can Play4 tickets be canceled? +
Play4 Day and Play4 Night tickets are liable to be canceled only by the retailers’ lottery terminal, where the ticket was actually printed, and only before the drawing for that day is closed. The Play4 tickets are not liable to be canceled in any way when printed by a Lottery Vending Machine.
Can Play4 tickets be purchased for more than one drawing at a particular time? +
You can purchase up to 7 consecutive drawings in advance. You just need to select the “Advance Action” box on the playslip or ask your lottery retailer for Advance Action at the time of purchase.
How is a Straight or Box wager/bet won? +
To win a prize for Straight bet, pick three numbers to match the winning numbers drawn in exact order. For winning the Box prize, pick any three numbers to match the winning numbers drawn in any order.
What do you mean by Combo wager? +
A Combo wager is when you have the chance to play Straight bets for all possible combinations of your chosen numbers, on the same playslip, thereby increasing your chance of winning.
Can I purchase DC-3 Lottery tickets in advance? +
Yes, you can purchase DC-3 lottery tickets for up to seven consecutive days in advance for DC-3 midday and evening drawings.
Can more than one person share a DC-3 winning amount? +
Prizes won on a single DC-3 Lottery ticket is paid to a single identity. This single identity may be one individual or legal organization. However, if there is more than one winner to the jackpot, the winners share the prize equally.

You can view the Midday and Evening draws on the DC Lottery website. You also have the option of calling the DC Lottery’s Lott Line at (202) 678-3333 and know the winning numbers or can have the winning number information forwarded to your mobile devices. The DC Lottery winning number information is also posted on the lottery's social media pages and is also available at DC Lottery retailer locations.
What happens if I lose a winning DC-4 ticket? +
The DC Lottery is not responsible for stolen, lost, or tampered tickets. You as an aware player should sign the back of your ticket or take necessary measures to safeguard it. If your lottery ticket is not signed, anyone in possession of it may file a claim.
Are DC-4 lottery tickets taxable? +
The DC Lottery winnings are subjected to Federal, State, and Local income taxes. DC Lottery winnings of $600 or more are reported to the Internal Revenue Service in accordance with Federal regulations and also to the District Office of Tax and Revenue in accordance with District regulations.
