The State Lottery Commission of Illinois is operated by Camelot Illinois. Northstar Lottery Group became the Lottery’s first private manager on July 1, 2011. With his assistance, it became the first US lottery to sell tickets on March 25, 2012.
The lottery profits initially went to State's General Revenue Fund, until legislation was passed in 1985 earmarking profits for the Common School Fund, which is still the Lottery's major benefactor. In 2010, the Lottery began contributing to the Capitol Projects Fund, which helps build and renovate state roads and bridges.
How to claim Winnings?
Congratulations On Winning!
As per the rules by Illinois Lottery, your original winning ticket is the only valid receipt for prize claims.
Your lottery ticket is a bearer instrument, which means anyone who possesses the ticket is the winner.
