New York Lottery Announces Changes In Take 5 Drawings 2 months ago

State lotteries are raining pieces of good news every now and then. New York Lottery has announced the addition of a second daily drawing to its super-popular Take 5. The changes will be effective starting next week!

Starting this Monday, July 26, the Lottery is all set to offer its players in New York, another daily drawing for Take 5. The newly added drawing will take place in the afternoon, along with the already existing draw held in the evening.

As per the New York Lottery Executive Director, Gweneth Dean, Take 5 created more than $2.5 million cash prize winners for the last fiscal year. An addition of a draw to this game will give New York Lottery players increased chances to win. Currently, the New York Take 5 draws are held every day at 10:30 pm EST and broadcasted live on selected live television stations. Players can start purchasing tickets, from July 26, for the first-afternoon drawing that is to be held at 2:30 pm EST.

To play Take 5, you need to select five numbers from a field of 1 to 39. The odds of bagging the jackpot are 1 in 575,757, and the estimated jackpot for a winning ticket is $57,575, which may also change depending on the sales of lottery tickets.

The game also features a Play It Again and Multi-Draw feature, that lets you play your favorite lottery numbers with an absolutely identical ticket all over again, and the chance to play for lucky numbers for up to 7 consecutive Take 5 draws respectively.

With the addition of an additional draw, it is your chance to bag an exciting prize against some really favorable odds of winning! Start browsing through lottery winning tools that can help you in marking the winning numbers.
