About the Commission

North Carolina Lottery Commission comprises of nine members. The commission supervises and administers the education lottery. The earnings of the North Carolina Lottery are allocated to education-related purposes by N.C. General Assembly.

Crowder serves as chairman of N.C. Lottery Commission. He chairs the Community Affairs Committee, and also serves on the Executive Committee and Games and Marketing Committee.

Unless specified, the meetings will be held at the North Carolina Education Lottery Headquarters at a time to be designated by the Chair.

  • The ticket, not the play slip, is your proof of purchase. So you must sign your ticket immediately
  • Once a ticket is generated it can't be canceled, so check your play slip to make sure everything is correct
  • The scratch-off game prizes must be claimed within 90 calendar days from the game’s announced end date, and draw games must be claimed within 180 calendar days of the drawing
