How to play Pick 3

  1. 1 Choose 3 digits from 0 to 9 (repeats allowed) — or let the terminal Quick Pick them at random.
  2. 2 Pick which drawing(s) to enter — Pick 3 is drawn on Every day. You can usually play several draws in advance.
  3. 3 Pay for your ticket and keep it safe — you'll need the physical ticket to claim any prize.
  4. 4 After the draw, check your numbers here or with the prize table. Match enough numbers and you win!

Play Types of Minnesota Pick 3

Type of bet you choose to play will appear on your lottery ticket. Different eight bet types are:

  • First Digit: Select one number. If the first drawn numbers match, you win.
  • Front Pair: Select two numbers. If the first two drawn numbers match in exact order, you win.
  • Back Pair: Select two numbers. If the last two drawn numbers match in exact order, you win.
  • Straight: If three drawn numbers are matching in exact order, you are a winner.
  • 3-Way Box: select three numbers, two of them are the same. If three drawn numbers are matching in any order, you are a winner.
  • Straight/3-Way Box: Select three numbers, keep two of them same. Match all three numbers in exact order to win $330*. Match all three numbers in any order to win $80*.
  • Straight/6-Way Box: Select three different numbers. Match all three numbers in exact order to win $290*. Match all three numbers in any order to win $40*.
