The legal age of playing the Missouri Lottery is 18 years.
Players are responsible to ensure the accuracy of their tickets, not the retailers or authorities.
Players need to claim their winnings within a valid time period of 180 days else their winnings will be fortified.
All games are strictly subjected to the Missouri State Laws.
Winners can claim their prize by representing the ticket only, not the playslip. It is the sole document to claim the prize.
If you make a mistake on the playslip, mark the VOID box, and use the next play.
If the Jackpot prize has more than one winner, the prize amount is distributed equally (pari-mutuel).
Lotto prizes are based on 50 percent of sales.
Lottery winners have a span of 60 days to decide on the annuity and lump-sum option.

History

The Missouri Lottery was established in 1985, and since 1994 has utilized its proceeds to help fund the state's public education programs. The lottery began selling its lottery tickets on January 20, 1986. The executive director oversees the organization and reports all of it to a five-member commission that is appointed by the governor. May Scheve Reardon took over as the Executive Director of the Missouri Lottery in December 2009. Initially, the lottery proceeds were directed to Missouri's General Revenue Fund. In 1992, the voters approved Amendment 11, which resulted in the allocation of funds to public education. The proceeds for the Lottery are appropriated by the Legislature and since July 1993 have been allocated to education programs.
Missouri Lotto began on November 4, 2012, and since its inception has been quite popular for amazing payouts it offers, and is continuously working in fulfilling the dreams of many of becoming a millionaire!
