Powerball lottery is a multi-state lottery that costs $2 per play, except for Idaho where it costs $3 per play. Players need to select five numbers from 1 to 69 and one number for the red ball, 1 to 26. The jackpot for the lottery starts at $40 million and keeps on rolling until someone wins! During the pandemic, the multi-sate lottery jackpots were cut down from $40 million to $20 million addressing the decrease in sales.

There are nine ways for players to win the prize. The overall odds of winning Powerball is 1 in 24.9.
