Lady Luck Smiles Twice On This Virginia Man For Winning The Lottery

A Virginia man has turned out lucky, not once but twice. This lucky man had a chance to win the lottery back in 2014 and bagged $2.5 million on a scratch-off lottery ticket, but nowhere did it mentioned that he couldn't win again.

But last week, Michael Worsham of Chesapeake, won his second big instant win worth $1 million, seven years after winning the $2.5 million jackpot on another scratch-off game.

Well, to say, Worsham has been this lucky for quite a while, even before the grand prize win in 2014. Right before winning the “Right on the Money" lottery ticket in December 2014, he had won $100 playing other Virginia Lottery games. He made a smart decision and used all those winnings to pick the lucky scratch-off ticket at the 7-Eleven on North Eden Way in Chesapeake.

As soon as he got to his car, he scratched off the ticket and couldn't believe his eyes. He recalled, "I triple-taked," and "I couldn't believe it." Right before him was a lottery ticket worth $2.5 million.

The lucky winner who owns a small business called Worsham Plumbing chose to opt for a one-time cash option of $1,437,500 before taxes, as the top prize. As a lottery winner, he claimed the fifth top prize in the "Right on the Money" game, leaving just one top prize left. With the newfound wealth, he hoped to fund his children's college education. The convenience store received a check of $10,000 as a bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

Seven years passed by and it seemed his luck was still showering upon him with everything.

Worsham stopped yet again at another 7-Eleven convenience store to play the lottery, on Butts Station Road in Chesapeake, about a 15-minute drive away from the one he visited in 2014. Entering the place, he picked a ticket from the $30 "Extreme Millions" instant game. Similar to his last win, he had to double-check, when he saw what was on the ticket.

The winner AGAIN scooped up a $1 million second prize and walked home the cash option of $657,030 before taxes. The 7-eleven also got rewarded with a $10,000 bonus for selling the winner his lucky lottery ticket. Now with the winnings of the second prize in his pocket, Worsham wants to invest the newfound wealth and take care of his children.
