The Minnesota Lottery is new in line to end the participation in the Multi-State lottery - Lucky for Life after its last drawing on June 28, 2021. The Lottery has officially announced that "advance draw purchases will be limited" in Minnesota starting this Thursday, May 13.
Gradually the players will be able to purchase fewer advance draws with each consecutive drawing, and with 13 advance draws available during the sales period between 8:10 pm on Thursday, May 13 and 8:10 pm on Monday, May 17.
Minnesota is the latest state to announce the discontinuation of Lucky For Life. Even the South Carolina Lottery recently announced that it will also discontinue the lineup of Lucky For Life this June, due to the game's decision of holding the draws every day! Currently, there are only 25 states that offer Lucky For Life. Minnesota and South Carolina's departure this June will cut short the list to 23.
Although the game is set to end in Minnesota and South Carolina, the Lucky For Life winners will have one year from the date of drawing to claim lottery prizes.
