USA's Top Lottery Mega Millions Rolls Over To $1.35 Million Jackpot

After consecutive 25 draws without a jackpot winner, the multi-state Mega Millions lottery now hosts a jackpot worth $1.35 billion that could instantly solve all your financial problems and make you the wealthiest person on the planet.

To reach such a huge jackpot amount, the game had to draw birthday lottery numbers in a row! Birthday numbers are the ones that fall below 31. Most lotteries typically sell a large number of lottery tickets within this range, since many players like to play or bet on birthdays, anniversaries, and other significant dates when marking their playslips.

Since nobody bagged Tuesday night's grand prize, the Mega Millions jackpot rolled over to an estimated $1.35 billion. Only a single drawing held in October 2018 worth $1.537, was larger than the current Mega Millions jackpot draw in the game's history. So, the next chance you guys have to bag this life-changing amount is Friday night at 11:00 pm Eastern Time (8:00 pm Pacific).

The Friday night's draw worth $1.35 billion is the 4th largest lottery jackpot in the world history of any game, and the lump-sum cash value worth $707.9 million stands as the 6th largest ever.

The race to the current jackpot started on October 18 as a $20 million grand prize. Since then it has been nearly 3 months that Mega Millions has had no jackpot winner.

All those players wondering what will the winning cash look like in their bank account after the federal and state tax deductions can view an after-tax analysis of the current Mega Millions jackpot by visiting The Lottery Lab's Tax Calculator page. After selecting the home state and prize money value, the players will have a rough idea of the amount they'll definitely take back home. The rush of ticket sales online and at the convenience store may push the jackpot to an even higher amount before the grand draw takes place on Friday. The Lottery Lab staff will surely let you know if any such increase occurs.

In Mega Millions Tuesday drawing there was no top prize winner, but 16 lucky lottery players matched the first 5 numbers for a $1,000,000 prize: 1 from California, 1 from Connecticut, 2 from Florida, 1 from Kansas, 2 from Massachusetts, 1 from Missouri, 1 from New Jersey, 2 from New York, 2 from Ohio, 1 from Oregon, 1 from Pennsylvania, and 1 from West Virginia.

Three of the second-prize winners in the game - one from Connecticut, Florida, and New York — bought their tickets with the Megaplier option for an extra $1 per play, multiplying their prize by $3 million because the Megaplier number drawn was 3. It is important to note that the Megaplier option is not available in California.

The Birthday numbers for Tuesday, January 10, 2023, were 7, 13, 14, 15, and 18, with Mega Ball number 9, and the Megaplier number was 3.

Currently, Mega Millions is offered for sale in a total of 45 states, in addition to Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The drawings for the game are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11:00 pm Eastern Time. Each ticket costs $2.
